Shen Yun Performing Arts successfully concluded 3 performances—in Guadalajara, Mexico—on April 26 and April 27. Audience members commended its artistry.
“The orchestra enchants you, takes you to a different rhythm and educates your ear, and makes you feel relaxed. Everything then blends in with the dance, the music, and it really drew me into it. I was able to really observe and enjoy,” said Ana Lucia Santos, a dance teacher and owner of Ballet Body Training.
“The coordination between the dancers, their expressions, and the mimicry that this production brings is incredible and it makes me very happy,” she added.
“It was an endless number of emotions that they made us feel in each dance. They completely presented a story, a feeling. We cried, we laughed,” said Araceli Gutiérrez, the director of financial administration at Corporativo NOVEVA.
“It’s an abundance for all of the senses. Visual, auditory, harmony, balance, the contours of the music, everything that I am seeing is a perfect assembly,” said Rafael Pinto Macedo, a plastic surgeon.
Shen Yun draws its inspiration from China’s 5,000 years of divinely inspired culture. Audience members pointed to the values Shen Yun displays.
“We have been invaded by so many things in our reality that I believe that these types of shows touch our souls,” said César Manuel Madrigal, a composer and owner of Diocesan Higher School of Sacred Music.
Fabiola Torres Orozco, a psychologist, thinks that the values Shen Yun displays are also important for the world of today.
“I think that this performance definitely helps us remember that they are not values that only existed a long time ago. These are values that currently exist and that we must continue to put into practice to promote a better culture.”
“There was magic, there were spiritual beings. The projection of those spiritual beings that are coming down to Earth and to help humans in their day-to-day lives,” said Roberto Vazquez, the general director at Corporativo NOVEVA.
Many also expressed appreciation for the experience of seeing authentic Chinese culture—from before communism.
“The quality is on another level. I have never had the opportunity to see a performance of this kind. I am delighted with the show,” said Ms. Torres Orozco.
Shen Yun will continue to perform in Guadalajara, Mexico, from May 7 through May 9.
