Cross-party politicians, policymakers, and Hong Kongers were part of a three-day UK-Hong Kong Symposium in London. Some of the discussions centered around Hong Kongers’ advocacy efforts in the UK, ways to preserve their heritage, and the challenges of transnational repression by the Chinese regime. Speakers included security minister Tom Tugendhat, cross-bench peer Lord Alton of Liverpool, and the shadow minister for Asia and the Pacific, Catherine West.
