Chinese, European Carmakers Partner to Bypass EU EV Tariffs

In response to EU tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles, Stellantis has partnered with China’s Leapmotor to produce and sell EVs in Europe. The $1.6 billion deal allows the two automakers to circumvent restrictions by manufacturing vehicles in Poland. Stellantis is aiming to boost sales despite recent slumps in the European market.
