Justin Timberlake has canceled another concert on his “Forget Tomorrow World Tour” following a back injury.
On Saturday, the 43-year-old singer announced on social media the cancellation of his Dec. 2 show at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City as his doctors recommended.
“I’m so sorry Oklahoma City,” Timberlake wrote in a message he shared on his Instagram Story, captured by People magazine. “I have to cancel the show on 12/2. I hurt my back in Nola and my doctors have instructed me to rest a little bit longer.”
“Thank you for your support—y’all know I hate doing this,” he added.
The “Mirrors” hitmaker has not announced a rescheduled date for the concert. Timberlake most recently performed at the New Orleans’ Smoothie King Theater on Nov. 25 where he said the injury took place.
The “Selfish” singer has cancelled several shows over the past two months due to health issues.
In an Oct. 23 Instagram post, the 10-time Grammy Award-winner was diagnosed with bronchitis and laryngitis, leading to six shows in Chicago, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Detroit, Milwaukee, St. Paul, Minnesota, and Columbus to be rescheduled for dates in February next year.
“Hey guys – I haven’t been feeling great the last few shows and turns out I have bronchitis and laryngitis,” he wrote at the time. “I’m so sorry to say I do need to reschedule the next few shows from 10/23 through 11/2. New dates listed above. Thank you for understanding – I’ll make it up to you.”
The former NSYNC star canceled and rescheduled another show in Newark, New Jersey, on Oct. 8 over an undisclosed injury.
“I’m so sorry to postpone tonight’s show. I have an injury that is preventing me from performing,” Timberlake wrote on Instagram. “I’m so disappointed to not see you all – but I’m working to reschedule ASAP. I promise to make it up to you and give you the show ya’ll deserve.”
He ended the message thanking fans “for understanding” and “appreciate your support always.”
The singer announced his world tour in January on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and released his sixth studio album “Everything I Thought It Was” on March 15. The “Forget Tomorrow World Tour” marked Timberlake’s return to the stage after a six-year hiatus following his 2018 “Man of the Woods” album.
Timberlake has nine more stops in the United States, with the next set to perform at the Toyota Center in Houston on Dec. 4. The “Forget Tomorrow World Tour” will temporarily conclude on Dec. 20 for the holidays before resuming again on Jan. 13 with more stops in North America, South America, and Europe before finally concluding in July.
