Chinese authorities are expecting a major travel boom. On Jan. 6, they said they’re anticipating 2.1 billion total passenger trips to be made during the Lunar New Year holiday, with travelers across China moving by road, rail, water, and flight. If that prediction proves true, it means double the trips made during the same time last year, which totaled 1.05 billion.
