New York City Mayor Eric Adams is the first sitting mayor in NYC history to be indicted of a federal crime. He’s charged with five counts related to bribery, wire fraud, conspiracy and soliciting campaign contributions from foreign nationals, according to a 57-page indictment unsealed Thursday morning.

NTD spoke with Eric Faddis, a criminal defense attorney and founding partner with Varner Faddis Elite Legal, as well as a former state district attorney.
