Suicide is on the rise among young Americans, and has become a public health crisis. Indeed, someone in the United States died by suicide every 11 minutes in 2021, according to data from the CDC.
NTD spoke to writer and journalist Susan Harris about the issue. She has had her own experience with the issue of suicide, but a promise that she gave her mother helped her get through those tough times. She told NTD her story.
