A woman who was shot outside a bodega in the Bronx, New York, was killed at the same age and in the same way as her mother.
Shaquana Button, 36, was shot in the face outside a grocery store around 11:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 15, after getting into an argument with her killer.
It is not clear what caused the argument, although one witness told News 4 it was over someone cutting the line at the store.

“She went tragically like her mother,” said Button’s aunt Dawn to the New York Post.
Another aunt, Ruth Mitchell, 58, said that Button’s mother, Dianna Mitchell, died “the same way … She was shot in the head” in Brooklyn 17 years ago.
Button was 36, the same age as her mother was when she was shot.
Authorities never caught the killer, police confirmed to the NY Post.
Mitchell spoke highly of her niece, saying, “She was a free spirit, a wonderful woman. She would give you the shirt off her back. That’s the type of girl she was,” she said.
Button’s fiancee, Jermaine Headley, 31, broke down in tears as he recalled her character, the Post reported.
“She didn’t deserve it, she was a good person. She was an amazing person,” he said.
“She lights up a whole room. She makes sure she says ‘hi’ to everyone. Smiling, dancing, happy,” he said.
So far there have been no arrests and the search for the killer is ongoing.
