Recently released police body cam footage shows an intense pursuit leading to an attempted carjacking and an officer-involved shooting. The suspect fled in a car after police responded to a 911 call in Lathrop, California. While in pursuit, the suspect’s car loses a tire on Interstate 5 and becomes disabled. The suspect then attempts to allegedly carjack another car and is seen clinging to the side of it while the driver tries to get away. The police catch up and an officer discharges his weapon, striking the suspect.
The suspect was taken to the hospital where he was treated and, after release, booked on multiple felony charges.
