UK Parliament Backs Law on Forced Organ Trade

An amendment that aims to stop British citizens and residents from taking part in forced organ harvesting was passed by the U.K. parliament yesterday. The legislation makes it a criminal offense to travel to countries like China for organ transplants. It follows a ruling from an independent tribunal in 2019 that found the Chinese state guilty of forced organ harvesting on a “substantial scale.”
