Trump Decries ‘Witch Hunt’ on Day 3 of Trial: ‘It’s the Beginning of Communism in Our Country’

At the beginning of day 3 of a civil trial against former President Donald Trump in New York City Wednesday morning, the Republican primary front-runner maintained his innocence, and explained his side of the accusations against him to reporters. He also levied strong criticism against the prosecutor, New York Attorney General Letitia James. President Trump said “they’ve weaponized justice in our country,” and that the trial signified “the beginning of communism in our country.”
