Raquel Olmedo is a famous Mexican Television and film Actress and also an opera singer.
She couldn’t help to hold back her tears of appreciation while watching Shen Yun in Mexico City Auditorio Nacional on April 6.
“The perfection of this group is really overwhelming for me. Seriously, I’m almost on the verge of tears,” said Olmedo. “I haven’t seen a level of perfectionism anywhere else but here. I am telling the truth.”
“How are they able to do this? It is not the power of human beings. It is another kind of life. Really, sometimes I even saw them fly,” she added. “It’s a heart-wrenching performance.”
As a theatre person herself, she was deeply impressed with the dancers’ skills.
“The composers that compose those human beings that are dancing on stage are giving all they have to give. There’s no one on stage that keeps a bit for themselves. Every dancer steps on stage and starts giving all they have, all they were taught, all they have learned,” she said. “Unreserved dedication to the audience, this is the place that really touched me the most.”
“The truthfulness they have, the respect they have on stage,” Olmedo added. “The respect they have to themselves, and that transmit to us. As the audience, I’m really thankful.”
