Shen Yun Performing Arts performed at a full house at the Grand Théâtre de Provence in France, on April 4. Audiences were touched by its mission to bring back traditional culture to the world.
“I loved it ! I will come back! the grace of the dancers, a lot, a lot,” said Jean-Marie Viger, a naval officer, former Commander of the Merchant Navy and General Manager of a logistics company. “I really liked that grace, that flexibility, that smile, they smile all the time!! all the time, it’s wonderful.”
“The show was magnificent, the costumes, the music was wonderful, the dancers seem to fly on stage and one can feel that, and even more powerful one can sens the soul of the Chinese culture, its magnificent,” said Gérard Mikaelian, company director.
“I … to be able to attend this show that I really, really enjoyed very much, that allow…that allowed me to discover lots more about China as it once was and not how it is today,” said Jean-Pierre Lemoine, a former company CEO. “That I know very well, obviously, but its…it pleases me very much to sens the history, the history of China with its beautiful …its beautiful characters, that civilisation that I did not know of and I am very pleased to learn about it, I thank you very much.”
They said Shen Yun was able to give audience members a glimpse of how China was before the current communist regime seized power, adding that it’s something people are most likely yearning to see again.
“The beauty of ancient China is what I like,” said Jacky Pedrinis, managing director. “I would like it to be true all of the time, I would like this to be true for all of humanity. This show, well, it’s something for human beings and I hope that all humans will have understood lots of things.”
“This maintenance of these ancient and cultural values is perpetuated by the dance we see in this show and we are imbued with this spiritual atmosphere,” Viger added. “It brings us serenity and then a lesson, we are today what our parents, our ancestors left us, then the lesson of this show, you have to draw from the past to live in the present and project yourself into the future.”
