Shen Yun Performing Arts successfully concluded its seven performances in Torino, Italy, on Jan. 14.
Martina Basile, who is a dancer herself, was impressed by the artistic skills of the dancers.
“I came tonight to watch this beautiful show. It was very impactful, exciting, and had attention to detail. With the almost surgical precision of these dancers, it was really a wonder for the eyes to watch this show tonight.”
“If I have to think of words to express the excitement of seeing this show, it would definitely be lightness, grace, harmony, and values. It was very, very emotional,” said Eva Grande, an architect.
“Beautiful. You enter into an ancient world that you couldn’t experience, but somehow you discover it and it’s something magical,” said Simona Bondioli, a program manager.
Shen Yun’s mission is to revive 5,000 years of Chinese civilization through the performing arts. Audience members said they were delighted to see that culture.
“Recovering something that was otherwise in danger of being lost, so very entrancing indeed,” said Andrea Rossi, a legal accountant associate.
Fabio Plano, company director of AMMEGA, believes traditions are important for everyone.
“Extremely important. It should be encouraged, supported. I think it’s a recovery of a heritage that is not just for China, but it’s a heritage for everyone. For all of us, for the whole world.”
Theatergoers pointed to a deeper message behind the performance.
“Perfect—the performers were outstanding in terms of form, color, art, expression, and music. It was beautiful. The message is tolerance, love, and support. As beautiful as can be, friendship, expressions of universal brotherhood, and universal love, excel in this performance,” said Angelo Guariello, a urology doctor.
“A message of peace, serenity, harmony, cleanliness, and order, that, in my opinion, would be much needed in our society,” said Ms. Basile.
“There is a message related to the divine forces, that can intervene if there is something wrong on Earth, and so we always hope that there will be an intervention in our reality as well, to end everything wrong in the world,” said Gianmatteo Sappa, an export manager.
“This message of faith, of returning and not betraying our soul. That’s the message that remains for me from this show,” said Carlotta Agnavi, a pharmacist and influencer.
Shen Yun Performing Arts will perform at the Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan, Italy, from Jan. 16–21.
