Shen Yun 2025 Season in France Kicks Off With Sold-Out Premiere in Aix-en-Provence

January 5, 2025

Located in the southern French region of Provence, the city of Aix-en-Provence is a historic and cultural gem of France. Every year, Shen Yun’s performances here are among the first to sell out. This year’s tickets were completely sold out as early as last year in early October. In response to rising demand, organizers recently opened ticket sales for the 2026 season, allowing those who couldn’t secure tickets this year to wish for the next. The deep admiration and love the local audience has for Shen Yun is clearly manifested.

Kévin Bailleux, a French military officer, said, “I am thrilled to be at the show. It is a wonderful opportunity to witness over 5,000 years of Chinese culture coming across the globe to offer us this culture. A dazzling show that I recommend to everyone.”

Jean Meyer, a retired company director, said, “We wanted to see the Shen Yun show in Aix en Provence, which is well-known and highly regarded. We truly experienced a magical, enchanting, and fabulous performance.”

Audrey Velly, an expert in Biology, said, “I was deeply moved by the realization that we can feel emotions through a culture that’s artistically expressed, a wandering soul. So many values and emotions are conveyed by this show which is simply magical.”

Raoul Team, a senior bank analyst, said, “The energy is incredibly exciting and evolves with the sounds and the accompanying gestures and movements, the essence of the music intertwined with the movements. It is a remarkable work. As Montaigne said: respect is what nobility demands.”

“I felt a collective strength. What stood out to me was the athletic aspect, the synchronization, and the symmetry of the performance. That truly touched me,” said Mr. Bailleux.

“I was profoundly moved at heart by the emotions conveyed through the singing and the divine essence that can be found in the beyond. It is a connection that simply transcends earthly existence,” said Ms. Velly.

“I felt very fulfilled and enchanted. A master created this orchestra and this universe with the artists,” said Mr. Team.

“We were genuinely enchanted by this show, which was at once diverse, full of color, and showcased the majestic side of China,” said Mr. Meyer.

Audience members praised Shen Yun’s remarkable artistic achievements in bringing the profound essence of Chinese culture to the West. They highlighted the performance’s message of love and the healing energy of kindness and compassion that touched their hearts.

“There is a sense of kindness. It brings a moment of tranquility. This show draws from history, and it also creates a bridge between the past and the present. You can truly feel this connection in the performance, as deep Chinese culture is exported to and shared with the Western world,” said Mr. Meyer.

“Yes, I felt compassion, and it is an energy that brings peace. It feels therapeutic. It’s a creation that’s filled with energy, and with bright, primary colors that evoke a sense of calm,” said Mr. Team.

“The show embodies the love we feel for one another within a community, highlighting the differences among the various communities around us, the bonds of the heart, and the strength of love,” added Ms. Velly.

Shen Yun’s performances in the city are among the first to sell out according to the local presenter. This season’s tickets were completely sold out last October. In response to the rising demand, organizers recently opened ticket sales for the 2026 season, giving those who missed out this year, a chance to see the performance next year. Shen Yun will continue its run in Aix en Provence until Jan. 7.
