BIAŁYSTOK, Poland—”I felt an extraordinary connection as if God was near. The dances performed by the artists brought me closer to the divine,” said Izabela Julia Czechowska, a former Polish diplomat to China.

Czechowska, accompanied by her mother, attended a Shen Yun performance at the Podlaska Opera and Orchestra in Białystok, Poland, on Jan. 3. The show profoundly moved her, particularly its spiritual depth, leaving a lasting impression.

Shen Yun captivated Polish audiences with its exquisite artistry and the grandeur of 5,000 years of Chinese culture. During the second half of the show, when the emcees introduced the orchestra, the audience spontaneously clapped along with the music, fully immersing themselves in the melodies of Shen Yun’s East-West musical fusion.

After the final performance, the Shen Yun artists took two curtain calls. Many in the audience expressed their desire to experience Shen Yun again next year.

Having worked for several years at the Polish Consulate in Chengdu, China, Czechowska had attended numerous performances as part of her diplomatic duties. However, Shen Yun left an especially unique impression on her.

She said that Shen Yun’s artistic presentation is vastly different from the performances she had seen in China, and she loved the show, “particularly the parts that convey divine elements. As a believer, Shen Yun’s portrayal of the divine within traditional Chinese culture felt incredibly beautiful as if I had touched heaven,” she said.

Czechowska also sensed a powerful energy emanating from the performance, bringing warmth and a stirring of the soul. “I am a very spiritual person, and I could feel it. The energy on stage filled the entire theater space and even entered my body. This energy made me feel so warm inside and sent shivers through me,” she explained.

Czechowska noted that Shen Yun brings a rare divine experience to Europe. “In Western Europe today, people are gradually distancing themselves from God, which is regrettable. Your work is truly significant! I firmly believe that God exists and may soon return—perhaps God has already returned in some form.”

She expressed deep gratitude to Shen Yun’s artists. “I deeply respect their artistry, energy, and talent. I hope they continue on this path, spreading the message of God’s presence and the need for us to change some of our notions. The world desperately needs such a message,” she said.

She also conveyed her heartfelt appreciation to Shen Yun’s artistic director. “I want to thank you for your immense effort and this extraordinary performance. It deeply touched us, including my mother, whose eyes were filled with tears,” she said.
