The 2024 Republican National Convention took place at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, July 15–18. Former President Donald Trump announced his vice presidential pick as Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) on July 15, and accepted the Republican Party’s nomination for the presidency on the final day of the convention. The convention closely followed an assassination attempt on the former president on July 13.
