With Washington, DC, reacting to Tucker Carlson’s exit from Fox News, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is fundraising off of the news.
Ocasio-Cortez’s team sent supporters a message that says the former Fox News host spent years “targeting women, people of color, and the LGBTQ-plus community.”
The Congresswoman also said Carlson leaving Fox News is a positive development, and asked supporters for donations to “fight hate speech.”
Her team wrote in the message, “There’s still a lot of work to do to fight the right-wing disinformation machine that constantly makes Alexandria their target.”
