At a House Oversight Committee hearing on Monday, Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-Fla.) asked Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle why the Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, was not paused after multiple warnings were received about the former president’s would-be assassin.
While questioning Ms. Cheatle, Mr. Frost also expressed concerns about what he said was a “breakdown in communication” between Secret Service members and other security personnel surrounding the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
