Some rioters in Portland have been released and re-arrested more than once. One man, after being released, was arrested again for allegedly killing two people earlier this year. This comes nearly a month after Portland’s district attorney’s office announced that some charges related to protests would be presumptively declined.

The U.S. Attorney for Oregon recently charged Kristopher Michael Donnelly, 26, for civil disorder and assaulting an officer.

That’s after Portland officers already arrested him four separate times for rioting and interfering with an officer.

Court documents obtained by NTD’s sister media, The Epoch Times, show that Donnelly was seen smashing a window at the Portland Police Department’s East Precinct on Aug. 5, for which he was indicted.

Three days later he was arrested again after police saw him throwing frozen eggs at officers. But he was released, only to be arrested two more times.

According to the District Attorney’s office, the other three cases are still being reviewed.

And this man, was arrested during a protest, then released. Now he’s been arrested again for allegedly stabbing two people to death earlier in the year.

Our reporter in Portland tried to talk to business owners about the situation, but most said they don’t want to speak on camera because they fear retaliation.

One business owner, who agreed to speak to NTD on camera, said there is a trend he’s seeing among his business friends.

“They’re talking about going up on the roofs of their buildings with guns. They’re terrified. People are setting fires,” Fabian Gordon, who own Uncle Fabe, told NTD News. “When’s it going to happen to them? They’re heavily armed and they’re all very afraid.”

Portland protests more often than not end in riots, and Portland officials have repeatedly declined federal assistance to help quell violence in the area.
