On Monday, a Georgia judge ruled that county election officials must certify election results by the statutory deadline of 5 p.m. on the Monday following the election, regardless of irregularities or suspected fraud.
This was in response to a lawsuit filed by Julie Adams, a Republican member of the Fulton County Board of Elections and Registrations, whose premise was that she swore an oath to “prevent fraud, deceit, and abuse” in certifying elections.
NTD spoke with Gary Lawkowski, partner with the Dhillon Law Group, to understand the case and the judge’s decision.
