As New York City prepares for Independence Day festivities, the New York police Department announced increased security measures to ensure public safety. There will be heavier police presence in areas with higher traffic, and drones will also be employed for an additional layer of security.
With a variety of different events, exhibits, and activities planned for the 4th of July, officials are expecting hundreds of thousands of people, and they’re reminding the public to always keep safety in mind.
