In just over a week, intensified Israeli strikes in Lebanon have killed seven high-ranking commanders and officials from the Hezbollah terrorist group, including the group’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah. The move left Lebanon and much of the Mideast in shock as Israeli officials celebrated significant military and intelligence breakthroughs.

Hurricane Helene has left a trail of destruction across the southeast, killing at least 95 people across six states. Hundreds are still missing. As states begin the recovery process, floods have left areas isolated, without food and water. North Carolina governor Roy Cooper said he expects the death toll to rise as rescue workers reach areas cut off by collapsed roads and widespread flooding.

Vice President Kamala Harris took the stage in Las Vegas on Sunday night, in her second visit to the city since becoming the Democratic presidential candidate. With Nevada’s six electoral college votes in play, the state is gaining importance in a close race. Meanwhile, former president Trump rallied in Erie, Pennsylvania Sunday, making his fourth trip to the hotly contested state in a month.
