With six days left until Election Day, former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are holding dueling events on Wednesday in two battleground states. Trump will rally in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and Green Bay, Wisconsin. Meanwhile, Harris will speak in Raleigh, North Carolina, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Madison, Wisconsin.
The Supreme Court decided on Wednesday to allow Virginia to remove suspected noncitizens from its voter registration rolls, siding with Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s administration in one of its first significant decisions associated with next week’s election. Virginia has removed some 1,600 voter registrations that it said came from self-identified noncitizens.
The U.S. economy grew at a 2.8 percent annual rate from July through September, with consumers helping drive growth despite the weight of still-high interest rates. Wednesday’s report from the Commerce Department is the last major piece of economic data to come in before the November election.
