At least nine people were killed and over 2,700 wounded, when handheld pagers exploded near simultaneously across Lebanon. The apparent remote attack impacted several hundred members of the Hezbollah terrorist group. Hezbollah blames Israel and has vowed retaliation. Israel has not taken responsibility for the attack.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said his state will launch its own criminal investigation into the second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. He added that Florida prosecutors will pursue the most serious charges available under state law, including attempted murder.

Vice President Kamala Harris spoke at her first live campaign interview with reporters hosted by the National Association of Black Journalists. She answered questions about Trump’s assassination attempt, the Israel-Hamas war, and Springfield, Ohio. Harris will join a live event with Oprah Winfrey in Michigan on Thursday.

Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was charged with racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking in a federal indictment. Prosecutors said that for decades, Combs abused, threatened and coerced victims for sexual purposes. He pleaded not guilty. A judge ordered that he be held without bail.

OceanGate’s former operations director testified at the US Coast Guard hearing on the Titan submersible implosion. He said that the tragedy could have been prevented if the Occupational Safety and Health Administration had investigated his complaint.
