President Joe Biden’s son may be charged with a felony gun crime. U.S. prosecutors plan to ask a grand jury to indict Hunter Biden for the crime soon, special counsel David Weiss’s team said in a Sept. 6 filing.

A federal judge ruled that former President Donald Trump is liable in the second E. Jean Carroll defamation case. A New York judge denied former President Trump’s request to delay the trial in New York Attorney General Letitia James’s civil lawsuit. And an unnamed witness will testify in the Mar-a-Lago classified documents case.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken made a surprise visit to Ukraine and pledged additional aid for the country. During his visit, a Russian air strike killed at least 17 people in a city in eastern Ukraine.

Tropical Storm Lee is ramping up in the Atlantic Ocean near the Caribbean. It’s expected to become a major hurricane by this weekend, but it’s still unclear if it will hit the United States.
