Former First Lady Melania Trump told the panel on Fox’s “The Five” on Tuesday, she is worried for her husband’s safety as the November election approaches.

In 2024, there were two assassination attempts on former President Trump. The first occurred on July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania, where Trump was shot by Thomas Matthew Crooks, and survived with an ear wound. The second attempt took place on Sept. 15, when Ryan Routh was arrested near Trump’s golf course in Florida after allegedly aiming a rifle from a tree line while Trump was playing golf. Both incidents led to heightened security measures.

In this election, women’s attitudes toward Donald Trump are divided. Co-host Judge Jeanine Pirro asked Melania what message she’d send to undecided female voters about voting for her husband in November.

“Well, we could see in the four years that he was there, [the] country was in great shape. [The] country was safe. [The] country was prosperous. And he would bring that back,” she said.

The panel also discussed her newly released self-titled memoir, “Melania.” The former first lady said she wants to tell people everything:

“I think there’s a lot of misinformation out there about me. So, that’s why I said it’s time people hear from me—my story, my perspective, and the truth.”

In addition to discussing the election, Melania Trump shared her plans and priorities if she returns to the White House next year. She committed to continuing her “Be Best” initiative, which focuses on the well-being of children, and her “Fostering the Future” program, aimed at supporting underprivileged children and women.

She established “Fostering the Future” after she left the White House in 2021. Her two platforms support scholarships for foster children.

She said, “I have many students now, so I will continue with that. And we need to give back to those children and support them so once they have education, they could have a great job, and after that, they could give back to communities.”

Born in Novo Mesto, Slovenia, Melania Trump began her career as a model, working in Europe before moving to the United States in 1996. She became a U.S. citizen in 2006 after marrying Donald Trump in 2005 and served as First Lady from 2017 to 2021.

She described her life as an” incredible journey,” adding, “I came from a small town in Slovenia and then went to Milan, Paris, New York. And you know, you never know what can happen in life, right? We don’t know the future. We don’t know what will happen next year,” she said.

“The Five” co-host Greg Gutfeld asked if there was anything Melania wanted to share about her husband that most people might not know.

“All he wants … he wants to make this country safe, so everybody has a job and enjoying family life. And, you know, he’s treating everybody equal,” she said.

When asked by Gutfeld, “Would you have married Donald Trump if you had a crystal ball that said he would be president?”

She replied with bright laughter, “That’s an interesting question!”
