Prisoner Swap Good for US, but Could Embolden Russia: Former Deputy National Security Adviser

Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich, former U.S. Marine Paul Whelan, and Russian-American journalist Alsu Kurmasheva are now free after a large-scale prisoner swap with Russia. President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris praised the power of diplomacy in securing their release. This historic swap is the largest between Russia and the West since the Cold War.

NTD spoke with Victoria Coates, former deputy national security advisor to President Donald Trump and vice president of foreign policy at the Heritage Foundation, for her thoughts.
