The Usach Classical Orchestra and the Usach Symphonic Choir perform Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125 “Choral” by Ludwig van Beethoven (1770–1827).
This concert was held on July 6 at the Usach Aula Magna Theater, to mark the 173rd anniversary of the University of Santiago de Chile. David del Pino Klinge was in charge of the general direction, and the Usach Symphonic Choir was directed by Andrés Bahamondes. Soloists were Paulina González (soprano), María José Uribarri (mezzo-soprano), Felipe Gutiérrez (tenor), and Pedro Alarcón (baritone).
This recording is published to mark the celebrations for the 40th anniversary of the Usach Classical Orchestra, founded on Aug. 24, 1982.
