Hurricane Beryl’s Landfall and Forecast: Meteorologist

Hurricane Beryl made its third landfall in eight days early Monday morning—this time south of Galveston, Texas. Having lost wind speed over the Gulf of Mexico, it had strengthened back into a category 1 hurricane just before landfall in Texas. Beryl has again weakened to a tropical storm as it continues inland, though it has brought storm surge to the Texas coast and torrential rain locally in Texas, in addition to winds gusting to over 90 mph.

So what is the forecast, and where will Beryl move next? Randall Bass, a certified consulting meteorologist and the president of Bass Weather Services, LLC, shared his forecast with NTD.
