14 Pro-Democracy Activists’ Guilty Verdicts Are a ‘Landmark Suppression’ of Freedoms in Hong Kong: Former Diplomat

The verdict of the Hong Kong 47 recently found 14 pro-democracy activists guilty of subversion. The 47 activists were arrested in 2021 for conspiracy to commit subversion, under the national security law imposed on Hong Kong by the Chinese regime.

NTD spoke with former diplomat Roger Garside, who said this signifies a “landmark suppression of political freedoms” in Hong Kong.
