House Republicans have picked Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) as their new speaker nominee on Friday, one day after Rep. Steve Scalise announced that he was dropping out of the House speaker race. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) told reporters that Mr. Jordan would get enough support in the end.
