U.S.-based online platform Gan Jing World has been recognized as being of provincial, educational, cultural, and social significance by one of Argentina’s provinces.
The Honorable Chamber of Representatives of Santiago del Estero, a province in Argentina’s northwest, made the declaration on Gan Jing World on Dec. 10, 2024.
Gan Jing World was established in mid-2022 with the mission of fostering a digital community centered on positive content. The name of the platform “Gan Jing” means clean, according to the platform, reflecting its mission to provide a space for sharing and consuming healthy content.
Nora Mercado and M. Analía Herrera, representatives leading the province’s Culture and Education Committee, championed the initiative with the aim of expanding its reach within the community to benefit people of all ages.
Before presenting the platform to the Education and Culture Committee and the Legislative Chamber for approval of the Declaration of Interest, committee representatives Mercado and Herrera thoroughly reviewed the platform’s foundations to ensure its capability to protect users.
Both representatives noted that the Declaration of Interest would enable more people to benefit from a digital culture free of harmful content. Among other initiatives, they proposed introducing Gan Jing World to universities and educational communities across the province of Santiago del Estero.
During the “Zhen Shan Ren” art exhibition—translated as “truth, benevolence, tolerance”—held at the Honorable Chamber of Representatives in November 2024, government authorities were introduced to Gan Jing World and its mission to revive genuine connections and promote a culture of kindness.
One of the platform’s key objectives is to support youth educators in today’s digital age in guiding students toward traditional values and moral standards, and in countering the influence of social media algorithms designed to maximize content consumption.
Representatives of Santiago del Estero shared concern about harmful online content, particularly its impact on sensitivity to social opinion, mood, and behavior in youth. Educators attending the exhibition also expressed their interest in Gan Jing World, noting community concerns about cell phone addiction among both children and parents. They emphasized the platform’s potential value in addressing these issues.
The legislative authorities that supported the Declaration of Interest underscored their appreciation for tradition and shared their enthusiasm for Gan Jing World’s mission and offerings.
The platform currently hosts a contest called “Kindness is Cool,” which invites creators to showcase acts of kindness, big or small, with a top prize of $10,000.
Gan Jing World plans to make its way across Latin America, according to the platform. It aims to address the community’s need for a safe platform that prioritizes traditional values and fosters the creation and sharing of cleaner, more meaningful content for generations to come.
