The government announced Monday that everyone in England will be able to take free regular COVID-19 tests. These lateral flow tests can detect a positive result in under 30 minutes. The government says since their introduction, these tests have identified over 120,000 positive cases that otherwise may not have been found.
This is part of the government’s roadmap out of lockdown.
