The world’s first known survivor of China’s state-sponsored forced organ removal spoke out on Wednesday. His testimony comes in response to claims from the Chinese Communist Party, questioning his account.
In his previous testimonies, 59-year-old Cheng Peiming recalled being forcibly injected by prison guards, and waking up shackled to a hospital bed. Medical exams suggest part of his liver went missing, along with a portion of his lung. He was left with a 13-inch long incision on the side of his chest, and chronic pain.
