A Florida man has been arrested for allegedly threatening to kill Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump and Senator JD Vance and their families.

“On Friday, July 19, the Jupiter Police Department arrested Michael M. Wiseman on charges of Written Threats to Kill after an investigation found that the suspect had made written threats on social media against former President Donald Trump and Senator J.D. Vance and their families,” the Police Department posted in a July 19 news release.

According to the post, the Police Department was alerted after multiple tip-offs.

“JPD was alerted to the threats through multiple online crime tips as well as residents who expressed their concern in person.”

The tip-offs prompted an immediate investigation into the reports and the suspect’s Facebook account.

“After investigating the reports and the suspect’s Facebook account, JPD detectives found that Wiseman had made multiple threats against Trump and Vance, who earlier this week became the Republican nominees for President and Vice President, respectively,” the news release went on to say.

According to the Police Department, the threats also included potential bodily harm to members of both the Trump and Vance families.

Following further investigation, authorities arrested Mr. Wiseman, who cooperated without incident. He was reportedly taken to Palm Beach County Jail, according to Jupiter police Maj. Don Hennessy.

Mr. Wiseman could not be reached for comment.

NTD contacted Jupiter Police Department for further information but did not receive a response before the publication of this article.

The investigation was led by Jupiter Police Department, in conjunction with the United States Secret Service and the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office. Jupiter is located about 20 miles north of former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach.

The threats against the Presidential candidate and potential Vice President came just days after a failed assassination attempt against Former President Donald Trump.

During the assassination attempt, an assailant fired several shots at the former President at a rally in Pennsylvania on July 13, piercing the former president’s right ear. One attendee was killed, while two others were critically injured.

The assailant was shot and killed by Secret Service personnel moments after he fired a rifle from a nearby rooftop. The FBI has since identified the suspect as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.
