FEMA Funding Can Be Used More Efficiently, But States Should Bear More of the Burden: Economic Consultant

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas says that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is running out of money. Although FEMA will be able to meet the nation’s immediate needs after Hurricane Milton, the agency says it won’t have enough funding to make it through the 2024 hurricane season.
