European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen emphasized the need for fair competition as the bloc plans tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles.
“It’s about creating fairness for Europe as a production location and that we have a level playing field,” von der Leyen said on Monday.
French President Emmanuel Macron also supported the EU’s decision to impose tariffs on Chinese EVs.
