In the wake of an entrepreneurial boom post-COVID, a new Bankrate report on the suitability of U.S. states for small businesses found that Western states including Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada, and Oregon ranked in the top 10 best states for businesses, with Washington snagging the top spot. Meanwhile, states including Hawaii, West Virginia, Rhode Island, and Mississippi ranked at the bottom of the list, with Louisiana ranked last.
