Early Voting Begins in Battleground State North Carolina

Voters in western North Carolina, a critical battleground state in this year’s election, are heading to the polls on Oct. 17, the first day of early voting, despite parts of the area still lacking power, running water, or reliable internet service after Hurricane Helene devastated the region just weeks ago.
