“Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” has been making headlines, but not solely for its box office achievements. It has been blocked by China’s film censors for a most unexpected reason: a newspaper box for The Epoch Times that appears in the corner of a street scene. It goes without saying that Epoch Times, due to its frank coverage of China, is no favorite of the Chinese Communist Party; but that’s only the latest of what’s had Chinese censors in a spin over Marvel.
