Democrats Should Not ‘Hold Israel Aid Hostage’: Sen. Hawley on Israel, Gaza, Ukraine Aid

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) spoke to reporters on Tuesday about President Joe Biden’s over $100 billion foreign aid package that includes assistance for Israel, Ukraine, Taiwan, and other places. Like a lot of Republican lawmakers, Mr. Hawley supports a standalone bill for Israel. “I don’t think we need to hold up Israeli aid. I mean, let’s get that done. We can come back and talk about all the other things the president wants—Ukraine, Taiwan. Gaza? Absolutely not,” he said.
