The moving documentary “Daughters”—which won both the Audience Award: U.S. Documentary and the Festival Favorite Award at the Sundance Film Festival in January—starts streaming on Netflix on Aug. 14.
“Daughters” is about young girls and their incarcerated fathers who serve as change-makers and tools of healing in their communities, according to its directors.
Angela Patton, the film’s co-director, said “Daughters” is part of her push for social change.
