Dramatic dashcam footage shows police pursuing a suspect on Interstate 95.
WTVR reported that 42-year-old Gregory Lee, who was a suspect in a domestic-related fatal shooting earlier that morning, shot himself in the head. He led police on a chase on I-95.
The victim who Lee allegedly shot was identified as Lee’s wife, 36-year-old Melissa Dee Lee, the report said.
According to previous reports, during a traffic stop in Stafford, Virginia, a murder suspect got out of his vehicle and shot at law enforcement, with at least one bullet hitting a trooper’s windshield.

That bullet narrowly missed the trooper and it was lodged in the driver’s seat, said state police.
The trooper then slammed on the brakes and was hit by a driver, who was rear-ended by another driver, WTVR reported. The suspect then got back into the SUV and fled along Interstate 95 before crashing and overturning his vehicle in Stafford County, officials said.
“That guy could have killed a lot of people, just by driving the way he was, let alone shooting at people,” a witness told NBC Washington.
At 11:31 a.m., the vehicle was stopped after an alert was sent out about an SUV related to the shooting of a woman in Stafford, according to officials.
In the dashcam video released to WTVR, one can hear what appears to be a gunshot while a trooper says, “Shots fired, I’m hit, I’m hit.”
No police were injured in the shooting.
