With a little over 30 days until the general election, the leaders of both parties and both chambers of Congress are out on the campaign trail, but with different objectives.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) is pushing House Republicans’ economic agenda while House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) is on the campaign trail for the Harris–Walz ticket. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) is campaigning for New York Democrats and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is asking for new aid to Israel.
