Shane Tews, president of Logan Circle Strategies and senior fellow at American Enterprise Institute, spoke with NTD about two pieces of legislation in the Senate that purport to provide online safety for children and teenagers. The bills, titled, the Kids Online Safety Act and the Children and Teens Online Privacy Protection Act, have bipartisan support in the Senate, but Ms. Tews discussed some of the challenges and criticisms of the legislation and why she thinks it won’t pass the House of Representatives.
