Companies Must Remedy Supply Chain Vulnerabilities, Resilience Following CrowdStrike Outage: Cybersecurity Expert

With an IT glitch causing Windows-based computer systems around the world to malfunction on July 19, House Republicans have called on the CEO of software provider CrowdStrike to testify before Congress. They wrote in their letter that CrowdStrike cannot ignore the magnitude of the incident, and that the outage serves as a warning about the risks associated with network dependency.

They also argued that malicious cyber-actors backed by adversaries like China and Russia are watching how the United States responds to the crisis.
