Cheatle Will Have to Answer Questions on Statements Made to Explain Secret Service Shortcomings: Expert

The chair of the House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed Kimberly Cheatle, the director of the Secret Service, compelling her to testify before the Committee on Monday.

The Secret Service is facing growing scrutiny over its security preparations and reactions to the July 13 assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. The DHS inspector general is also investigating the agency’s operations at last weekend’s rally in Pennsylvania.
