A three-month stopgap bill passed in the Senate hours after it made it through the House of Representatives and is headed to President Joe Biden’s desk. All House Democrats backed the bill, after previously voting to kill a stopgap that was tied to the SAVE Act, which would have required all potential voters to prove their U.S. citizenship while registering.

NTD spoke with Hugh Fike, director of government relations at the Conservative Partnership Institute, about the next steps for appropriations bills in Congress as the general election nears.
