A bipartisan effort to combat communism was brought back to life on Capitol Hill on Feb. 14. Two congresswomen from opposite sides of the aisle have joined forces to stand against the deadliest ideology in history.
For Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) and Rep. Michelle Steel (R-Calif.), the matter is more personal than political. Both come from families who escaped to the United States from the clutches of communist regimes, and the 2 congresswomen are now taking a lead role in countering it.
